The Legal and cultural restrictions on women's recreational activities

Abstract

Entertainment is a natural thing; therefore, its concept is found in every era and in every nation. Every nation entertains according to its religious and cultural values. In the nations that follow the religion of God, the manifestations of entertainment have a religious status. Positive and useful recreational activities are not only permitted but also encouraged according to Islamic teachings.

Islam allows women to have recreational activities just like men. And there are certain limits for both men and women.

Islam forbids women from engaging in leisure activities that involve mixing with men or engaging in nudity.

It also prohibits recreational activities that are harmful to women's bodies, or honor.
