Quranic stories in bringing up Muslim Daughters

Abstract

Along with teaching in every field of life, Qur’an contains stories that have educational and reformist values, as they deepen the belief in the souls, open and enlighten the mind, and transcend the human spirit spiritually, morally, and teach us how to treat wrong behaviors with proper guidance.

The paper deals with Quranic verses which are presented for the Personality Development of Muslim girls in Surat al-Qasas, in terms of women different roles as daughter, sister, and wife, the story of the good man's daughter in Surah Al-Qasas, contained values and constants that form lighthouse guidance for Muslim women, these are used to enhance her role in the Muslim community to present the model as a good example to be followed thought the ears and ages, we can build up our daughter's characters, the story of the good man contained many educational benefits that help in raise girls according to Islamic teachings, and knowing its importance in reforming society, taking lessons to benefit from it and its impact on human reform, and evaluating the thought derived from the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah. The study is significant because of being one of the building girls' characteristics with Islamic educational studies that deal in raising adolescents.

The analytical descriptive method was used. The result of the study showed the image of a Muslim woman and her dealing with her parents, family, and society in which she bears “honoring parents, modesty, courage, eloquence”.
