Abstract

 Inclination towards beauty is natural. At times, someone's beauty and charm leaves an unusual impact on heart and mind - an impact that makes the thoughts revolve around that beauty. That is why when it comes about talking of beauty, Yusuf (A.S)’s beauty is quoted. The handsome man of Egypt went through the test valley because of his pulchritude. Not denying the fact that the beauty of that handsome man is noteworthy such that the women of Egypt in his praise, used to say that probably he is not a Human. Then why not mention the 'figure of beauty' whose examples of elegance are quoted by the creator himself. Where there are Quranic verses testifying the beauty of prophet (P.B.U.H), at the same time there are eye witnesses of companions mentioned in ahadith as well.

The companions were the initial addressees of Prophet (P.B.U.H)' s message and and the first preservers of the beauty of Prophet (P.B.U.H). But were the females also involved in describing the beauty of Prophet SalAllahu alaihi wa sallam?

The aim of this article is to solely describe the traditions of the hadith in which the females have testified the beauty of prophet (P.B.U.H).  So that in the contemporary world, the deeds of females in the prophetic era get highlighted for the 'figures of modesty' of this ummah and those busy in science and work, the Lovers of Prophet (P.B.U.H).
