Abstract

Quran verses and Ahdith about da’wah applies to Muslims, both men and women. It is now the responsibility of every Muslim, male and female to carry on with the mission of Holy Prophet (PBUH). From the very beginning women have played vital roles in the propagation of fundamental truths of Islamic Da’wah. From the sacrifices of summayyah, to the collected Ahdith of Ayesha, women have been instrumental in the flourishing and spreading of this deen. The books of history are replete with incidents of the illustrious Sahabiat including Azwaj al-Mutahharaat and Tabi’aat. Hazrat Summayyah was the first Muslim women, killed in Islam. Hazrat Khadijah, the first wife of the Holy Prophet (PBUH),who was very rich, spent of her money to support Da’wah. Umm’ Imarah fought in defense of the Prophet in Uhud battle. We should remember all these great women, and what they did for Islam and learn it.
