Abstract

Allah SWT created Ādam (A.S.) as the first human being. After their creation, He created Mother Ḥawa (peace be upon them) from their rib and established a relationship between them. Thus, the first relationship established in mankind is the relationship between husband and wife. After that, the relationship that Allah created among human beings is the relationship between parents and children. As Allah SWT said in the Qur’ān in the first verse of Sūrah al-Nisā’ From this verse, it is known that the first relationship among humans is husband and wife and then parents and children. While the rest of the relationships came into being gradually after that. This is the reason why in a man's life his wife and mother play an important role. Men as well as women have an important role in the society which cannot be overlooked. The important unit of society is the family, which also begins with these relationships (husband and wife and parents and children). Therefore, in this paper, the roles and responsibilities of Muslim women as wives and then as mothers will be discussed in the society. In the paper, narrative research method will be adopted.
