This research paper explores the pivotal role of women in strengthening the family system from an Islamic perspective. The study establishes that Islam envisions the family as the fundamental unit of a moral and spiritual society, founded on love, compassion, justice, and mutual responsibility. Within this framework, women hold a central position as the nurturers, educators, and moral anchors of future generations. Through a qualitative analysis of Qur’ānic injunctions, Prophetic traditions, and classical Islamic scholarship, the paper demonstrates that Islam elevates the woman’s role not through isolation but through dignified participation in family and social life. The research further identifies the key factors undermining family stability in modern Muslim societies, particularly Western cultural influences, materialism, moral decline, and the weakening of religious education. Using Pakistan as a contextual example, the paper highlights the growing challenges to family cohesion and proposes practical solutions based on Islamic ethics, spiritual education, and social reform. It concludes that the revival of the Islamic family system depends on restoring the balance between the rights and responsibilities of both men and women, guided by divine principles of taqwa (piety), adl (justice), and rahmah (compassion). This study contributes to the contemporary discourse on gender, family, and religion by reaffirming the timeless relevance of Islamic teachings for social harmony and sustainable family life in the modern world.
