Abstract

Recreation is a natural need and an essential part of a healthy life. It makes life balanced and relaxed. Providing ease and avoiding hardships is one of the goals of Islamic Shariah, which is why it has not only allowed but also encouraged entertainment within Islamic etiquette and moral boundaries, because Islam does not like laziness but prefers agility and good humor. It is important for everyone to have fun in order to stay healthy, but there are some people, if they do not have fun, will be affected and their formation will hinder the formation of the whole society, especially the working profession women who play an important role in shaping society and fulfill their dual responsibilities, which is why they need more recreation.

Islamic law has imposed all the legitimate expenses of women and children on men (father and husband) and has made woman the queen of the house. This division of responsibilities between men and women is in the spirit of Islam and is a natural and balanced system. It is a source of comfort for both women. But this does not mean that it is forbidden for a woman to work or do business, but sometimes it is a collective need of society to employ women, such as gynecologists, educators and other professions that are exclusively for women. A woman can work or do business with Shari’ah limits and restrictions. No other religion has given the rights of women that Islamic law has given them. It has also protected the honor and dignity of women. But if women are given open leave in this regard, there is a fear of sedition. Therefore, in order to protect the honor and dignity of women, the Shari'ah has given women complete freedom of entertainment with certain limitations. Like other rights of women, Last Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also gave a complete and comprehensive code of conduct regarding the rights of recreation. But unfortunately in the now-a-days these codes of conduct are either not followed or there are many obstacles in its way due to which there is an atmosphere of chaos in the society.

In view of the importance of women's rights to recreation, this article will present the rights of recreational working women and the solution to their obstacles in the light of the Seerat-e-Tayyabaﷺ
