Abstract

Women have suffered a lot in every phase of human history. Several laws and religions have taken the status of the female aspect of society according to their certain approach. Even then the issue is still standing on the very severe level of concern. Communism and modern feminism have taken this problem into the consideration and shown a serious concern about it. A multidimensional solution by communist thinkers has been presented in this regard. Professor Ali Abbas Jalal Puri was one of those communist thinkers in Pakistan who has elaborated this way of conduct. In this article, Professor Jalal Puri’s thoughts have been discussed and then an analytical response in the light of Islamic teachings has been given. The study shows that the ideas and thoughts of Jalal Puri can partially be accepted in Muslim societies but the solution which the purposes does not match with the teachings of Islam and Islamic code of conduct does not endorse him in full domain.
