Abstract

The complex interplay between religion and the emancipation of women in Pakistan is the subject of this study. To delve into the complex ways in which religion influences Pakistani women's lives, the research uses a quantitative analysis. The research shows that religious interpretations have a major effect on women's empowerment, with more conservative and inflexible interpretations linked to lower levels of empowerment and more liberal and progressive ones with greater levels of empowerment. Women's access to opportunities is also impacted by socio-economic variables, such as income and education levels. As a result of religious influences, long-standing cultural practices and legal frameworks pose significant challenges to women's rights. Gender equality and women's empowerment in Pakistan can only be achieved by legislative changes, inclusive religious discourse, and economic empowerment programmers, according to the study. In the end, this research highlights how religion, culture, and socio-economic elements all interact to shape women's empowerment in Pakistan. It offers useful insights that may be used to design policies and advance society.
