This research paper offers a review of the medical and military contributions of the Ṣaḥābiyāt (Raḍī Allahu ‘Anhunna), analysing the orientalist literature. The study investigates the dynamic role of these women played in early Islamic society, focusing on their participation in medical care, battlefield assistance, and broader efforts toward social welfare. It highlights their exemplary involvement in nursing the wounded, providing support during military campaigns, and critical periods. The research further examines how these contributions have been represented in orientalist literature, identifying their methodology to study the Islamic history and culture. By comparing Islamic primary sources with orientalist narratives, the study finds the western approach in this regard. It underscores the need to acknowledge their active participation in shaping early Islamic society, challenging stereotypes that marginalize women's contributions. This paper ultimately seeks to bridge the gap between Islamic and orientalist discourse, offering understanding of the Ṣaḥābiyāt's legacy. It advocates for a balanced approach that highlights their enduring relevance as role models for social bettermet by Muslim women.
