Islam has established extensive principles for successful individual as well as collective life of mankind and has given a just system for the completion and protection of rights and duties. Islam has an endurable imaginary of rights entailing positive fruits and the indication of such an imaginary is a useful endeavor from both religious as well as worldly perspectives. It is pertinent to have a critical view of women’s leisure time spending vis-à-vis its various healthy facets. We can see in the light of the teachings of the holy Prophet that there is a plethora of narratives referring to women’s leisure time activities in the era of the holy Prophet. These narratives give a glimpse of women’s indoor and outdoor recreations. Through a narrative by Hazrat Ayesha we can see references to women’s recreational activities alongside their men also (Sannannisai: 1595). This thesis sets to project the universal manifesto for women’s rights to recreation critically analyzed in the light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet.
