Women's entrepreneurial capabilities: Cultural and Social Challenges

Abstract

We as Muslims take guidance from the life of the Prophet PBUH and his teachings. His teachings provide the right direction in every aspect of life, whether it's men or women. Whether it is a domestic, economic, cultural, or social issue, Islam has its solution preached by Hazrat Muhammad SAW. Men and women are two wheels of the bicycle of life, and both divide the responsibilities. We cannot abandon the women part in society. In times of Nabuwat, there are various examples of women running the important affairs of humanity. They set great role models for women of today. However, my research reveals the entrepreneurial capabilities of women and the social and cultural barriers they face. I enlightened the lifestyles of women in times of Nabuwat who worked as entrepreneurs in their society, keeping in mind the teachings of Islam. Unfortunately, women face many challenges today because of so-called social and cultural norms. The fact is we need to understand that women's empowerment is actually taught by Islam in the truest form. This change of thought can bring a positive and indispensable change in our society.
