Abstract

Islam is a universal religion which is the source of guidance for all mankind. America is the great power of today, which is leading the world in every respect. America is a religiously pluralistic country and despite not having an official religion, Christianity is the dominant religion there. It is a common observation that American women are rapidly converting to Islam and this has increased significantly since 9/11. Despite the availability of freedom, equality and all kinds of facilities, why are women adopting Islam as a code of life? While Islam considers women as inferior. In this research article, the reasons for the acceptance of Islam by American women will be reviewed۔
