Abstract

Islam precludes negativity and awful signs. A Muslim is constantly an idealistic individual who looks to the brilliant side of things. When something terrible comes upon him, he immovably accepts this is the Decree of Allah and His Will. Allah consistently picks the best for him and He never proclaims something awful. Regardless of whether we, with our powerless human recognition, feel that a wonder such as this is awful, it is as yet not awful, however it is our own personalities that can't get a handle on the brilliant side and the Divine Wisdom.

This is the fundamental rule with respect to terrible signs (tatayyur). However, there are ahaadeeth which demonstrate that an awful sign might be in a lady, a house or a horse.

Al-Bukhaari (5093) and Muslim (2252) narrated from ‘Abdullaahibn  e Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Bad omens are in a woman, a house and a horse.”The researchers contrasted concerning these ahaadeeth and how to accommodate them with the ahaadeeth that disallow “tatayyur”. Some of them deciphered them as they have been narrated, and said this is an exemption from the decision on “tatayyur”, i.e., that tatayyur is illegal except if an individual has a house which he wouldn't like to live in, or a spouse whom he wouldn't like to keep her with him, or a horse, all of . This study focuses on that how different people have treated these ahadeeths and how the scholars have responded to them.
