Abstract

Islam is a complete code of life, which provides complete guidance on all aspects of human life, individually, socially, politically, morally or economically. Economy and wealth are so important in the sense that mostly human activities revolve around it. Though, Islam placed most of the financial responsibilities on men, yet some economic affairs are related to women as well and there are a number of examples for it found in Prophetic and caliphate era. Such examples clarify that women's participation in the economy is important and useful. This article elaborates the Islamic concept about women’s participation in economic affairs and how this participation can be useful to society.
